Delray Medical Center announces the end of waiting! Now you can hold your place on line for the Emergency Room with the on-line InQuickER service.
Delray Medical Center has completed an $8.5 million dollar renovation of its Emergency Department. The number of examination rooms has doubled from 17 to 35 and each is a private enclosure with flat screen TV.
The emergency room is equipped with advanced technology and is a state designated Level II pediatric Trauma Center for south Palm Beach County. Other complicated patient needs are addressed because of the Delray Medical Center’s skilled and experienced physicians and staff and advanced capabilities in surgery, heart and stroke care, orthopedics, and other specialties. The Emergency waiting room has also doubled in size. While waiting, to help reduce patient anxiety, an in-wall fish tank has been constructed.
With the addition of the InQuickER service, you can choose any available time to see a healthcare professional and complete the registration process online. The fee: $9.95. You can then arrive at the Emergency Room at your projected treatment time and will be seen by a healthcare professional within 15 minutes or the online fee will be refunded.
It is important to note that if you have a medical emergency you should call 911 or visit the nearest emergency room immediately. InQuickER should only be used if the patient can safely wait at home with no risk to his or her health.
