MEET THE BOARD
President and founder of Alliance of Delray Residential Associations.
Known and respected by Palm Beach County and State elected
officials, department heads and staff members.
President Schulbaum spearheaded the creation
of the South Palm Beach County Partnership between the Alliance of Delray, West
Boca Community Council (WBCC) and Coalition of Boynton West Residential
Associations (COBWRA) encompassing 400 communities with over 350,000 residents.
He is President of the Board at the South County Mental Health
facility and a member of the Board of Directors of Delray Medical Center.
His previous Community Management Experience includes Condo President for 3 years
as well as Board Governor and President of Gleneagles Country Club for 8 years.
served as a War II Merchant Marine and in the U. S. Army in the
Korean War. He is a retired C. E. O. and board member of a
public company. Bob and his wife Shirley Schulbaum were married 66
years until Shirley's passing in 2016.
DR. LORI VINIKOOR,
EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT
Executive Vice President, and Program Chair. Dr. Vinikoor serves as Chair of the Planning Commission of Palm Beach County and is also a member of the Land Development Regulation Advisory Board of Palm Beach County. She also serves on the Board of the South County Mental Health Center.
Dr. Vinikoor has a degree in Zoology from Rutgers College and a degree from New York College of Podiatric Medicine. All of her recreational activities serve the Community in some way. She is a Distinguished Toastmaster, past Division Governor and member of West Boca Toastmasters, a local chapter of Toastmasters International which is an organization that helps adults in developing communication, leadership, and public speaking skills. She is also past president of the Palm Beach Chapter of the Rare Fruit Council International, an organization dedicated to promoting and furthering the cultivation and use of tropical and rare fruit both in south Florida and throughout the world. Lori and her husband Joel live on a farm in West Delray Beach.
STAN GOODMAN, VICE PRESIDENT COMMUNICATIONS
Prior to moving to Delray Beach in 2000, Stan was on various boards of directors including Family Services of Wilmington, North Carolina. He was also Vice Commander of his Post of the Jewish War Veterans in New Jersey.
Stan has done much volunteer work and received an award for his volunteer work with children from the Governor’s Office in North Carolina.
Since moving to Delray Beach Stan has been President of his community as well as active in and chairman of various committees. He has been a delegate to the Alliance of Delray Residential Associations for nine years.
Stan was also appointed to the Palm Beach County Construction Industry Licensing Board for a second three year term and the Fair housing/Equal Employment Opportunity Board for a two year term by the County Commissioners. Stan and his wife Dotty have been married for 53 years. They have three married daughters and six grandchildren.
NORMA ARNOLD, VICE PRESIDENT
Norma and her husband Harvey Arnold moved to Delray Beach in 1996 from Syosset Long Island. Norma became active in her community serving on various committees and in the COP program. She organized the flu vaccine program for her community and works in many communities with the flu program. Norma represents the Floral Lakes community as a delegate to the West Delray Alliance. During hurricane Wilma she worked side by side with the Red Cross and The United Way, giving out food, water and ice.
Norma and Harvey are married 48 years. They have two daughters and 5 grand children.
ARNIE KATZ, VICE PRESIDENT
Arnie and his wife, Judy, are originally from Cleveland, Ohio. However they have been full time Florida residents since 1976.
Arnie had been in retail management and sales since his teen years. Moving here to become General Manager of Carl’s Furniture.
Subsequently Arnie, Judy and Daughter Julie ran their own family Furniture business. He also served as President of his H.O.A. Community in Boca Raton. After retiring in 2008 Arnie Volunteered in several organizations including The Alliance. In addition he currently serves on the Palm Beach County Water Advisory Board.
Arnie and Judy have been married 54 years and have a Son and a Daughter, as well as 3 Grandchildren. Their Son, Todd, recently retired from the USAF after 28 years.
EVELYN SPIELHOLZ, RECORDING SECRETARY
Evelyn Spielholz is originally from Springfield, New Jersey where she was office manager of a large construction firm. She served as head of the Union County Girl Scout Leaders, President of Women's American ORT, Hadassah, B'nai Brith Women and was on the board of trustees of Temple B'nai Abraham of Livingston. She moved to Delray Beach with her husband Ozzie in 1983 and was a member of her Condo Board for 6 years while a resident in Kings Point. After moving to Huntington Pointe in 1989 she served as a member of the Master Association and president of her Condo Association for 19 years.
Evelyn organized the COP in Huntington Pointe Unit #4 over 18 years ago and is their Captain and their Field Training Officer, conducting monthly training meetings for her unit. She is also president of the Women’s Investment Network (WINS) in Huntington Pointe.
In the middle of the 1990’s a group of area leaders (Evelyn included) met in Glen Eagles Clubhouse to discuss forming a Residents’ Association, which became known as the Alliance of Delray Residential Associations, Inc. She has served as recording secretary of the Alliance since it’s inception. Her beloved husband Ozzie recently passed away. Evelyn continues to be active and continually volunteers to serve the Community.
Debbie Borenstein served as a Senior Vice President of Bank of America where she was director of Global Cash Management, managing New York, Asia, Europe, and Latin America and being responsible for strategic planning, statistical analysis, product development and product revenue.
Debbie has a long history of serving on the Boards in Finance/Development for several universities and learning institutions and prominent organizations among them being Johns Hopkins University and United Way. Currently she is the Chairman of her Vizcaya Community Budget Committee and is a member of the Vizcaya Rules and Regulations Committee.
A member of Who’s Who in Outstanding Women of America and Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities, Debbie has received the prestigious VERITAS Award for International Banking & Financial Integrity.
CAROL KLAUSNER, DIRECTOR
Carol has been a delegate to the Alliance since 2002 when she brought the Alliance to the attention of the then Ad Hoc Committee of Vizcaya, her community. Prior to being elected to the Alliance Board in 2012 she was appointed to the Board as Assistant to the President. She has been involved in helping with the Vendors’ Fair, the Health Screening Day, ‘The Doctor Is In’ program, and the updating of the 80+ Alliance communities information profiles.
She and her husband of 50 years, Joel, who are the proud parents of 2 daughters and 4 grandchildren, moved from Metuchen, New Jersey to Delray Beach in 2000. While in New Jersey Carol graduated from Kean University and received her Masters degree there. She was a teacher of children with learning disabilities in Plainfield, NJ for 18 years.
Once in Florida she busied herself with the growth of Vizcaya, serving on the executive committee of the the Ad Hoc Committee, the Transition Committee, and finally the Board of Directors where she is the recording secretary. She is also the editor emeritus of The Vizcaya Voice, the community magazine. Carol has been and continues to be active in the Trails chapter of the National Brandeis Committee, particularly in the areas of fund raising and special events.
HAROLD KLEINER , DIRECTOR
Harold Kleiner was born in N.Y.C. He was married in uniform before going to the Pacific where he remained for four years, gaining the rank of five stripe Sgt. while in service.
After living in New Jersey and Boston and owning three retail stores and a flea market., Harold retired in 1984 at the age of 62. After arriving in Florida he was “drafted” into his HOA’s Board of Directors on which he has served for twenty five years, four of those years included serving on the Lakes of Delray Master Association. He was also one of the original members of the Alliance Board.
Harold also works within the transportation program dealing with our road systems and tri-rail, making recommendations to the Metropolitan Citizens Committee of the Metropolitan Planning Organization.
PHYLLIS LEVINE , DIRECTOR
Phyllis is originaly from Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, New York and relocated to Delray Beach, Florida in 1993. She currently lives in the Villages of Oriole with Murray Herman, somebody she has known since 1932. She is a past President and Board member of her Association. Phyllis has 2 children. One living in Israel; the other in Brooklyn, New York; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren in Israel; two grandchildren and one great grandchild in Brooklyn. She has belonged to the Alliance about 10 years and is so proud to be a member.
SUSAN "SUSIE" ZUCKERMAN, DIRECTOR
Susan (Susie) Zuckerman was born in Montreal, Canada and grew up in Quebec City. She returned to Montreal to attend McGill University ,where she met her husband Howard. They moved to Illinois where Susie managed Howard’s dental office for 30 years. They retired in 2004 and moved to Gleneagles Country Club. Susie now utilizes her skills for the community by volunteering, serving on the Board of the Gleneagles Computer Club, and publiciity chairman for its Tennis committee. She is on the Social Committee of the Clunie Social Club, serves as a Director of the Alliance of Delray and is studying to be a County mediator. She and her late husband have three children and seven grandchildren.
MARIANNE WEISMAN, ASSISTANT TO THE PRESIDENT
Marianne grew up in Binghamton, New York. After graduating from Russell Sage College, in Troy, NY, Marianne attended Western Reserve Library
School in Cleveland, Ohio. Marianne was employed as a librarian at the Cincinnati Public Library in Ohio, as a school librarian in Kettering, Ohio and at the Wright Memorial Public Library in Dayton, Ohio as the audio-visual librarian.
She and her husband, Murray, moved to Delray Beach in 1998 and settled in Polo Trace Golf and Country Club. She became active in the Polo Trace
Homeowners Association where she served on various committees. In 2001, Marianne was elected to the Polo Trace Board of Directors and she became the Polo Trace delegate to the Alliance of Delray Residential Association.
She is a past president of the Polo Trace Board and has also served as the Board’s Secretary. Marianne supervised the flu shot program for her own community and two other communities. She was a member of the COP program. She participates in several community organizations and has been a volunteer in a Palm Beach public school.
For the past six years, Marianne has been helping out at the sign-in desk at the monthly Alliance of Delray meetings
ALLEN HAMLIN, WEBMASTER
Allen and his wife Estelle are originally from
Uniondale, NY. They have been full time residents of West Delray since

Allen and his wife are the parents of three children and four grand children.

JOHN GENTITHES, MarketingJohn Gentithes is a seasoned professional with 35+ years of experience in the Real Estate and Business World as a successful entrepreneur and upper level management in a fortune 500 company. John's ability to truly understand and share his vast array of knowledge and experience allows him to relate to the many issues affecting property owners and associations in Delray Beach. The 30 year Delray Beach area resident has witnessed first hand the pluses and minuses of the areas rapid growth and expansion and can offer first hand . John's outside interest include Alzheimer's, Forgotten Soldiers , Toastmasters International, biking, tennis, and swimming.
